Product Information: Data: Variables from global projections (60km) over UK for daily data

Process Title:
Data: Variables from global projections (60km) over UK for daily data
Abstract:
Generates a subset of daily data for a chosen variable from the global projections for RCP2.6 or RCP8.5, 1900-2100. Absolute values are available for a given time period and location (on a 60km grid or a regional average).
User Guide:
The members to choose can be one of:
  • the full 15-member Hadley Centre's Perturbed Physics ensemble (PPE)
  • the 12 members of the Hadley Centre PPE also used for regional (12km) projections
  • each of the CMIP5 multi-model ensemble
Please note that you should always consider the full range of outcomes across the whole member set (i.e. the 15-member Hadley Centre PPE and CMIP5 multi-model). For guidance on the Representative Concentration Pathways (RCP) and how to interpret the plots, please see the guidance pages.
Warning:
Before using this product, please read the UKCP18 Guidance on Caveats and Limitations as well as the conditions of us under the Open Government Licence.

For the variables where CMIP5 data are available, the User Interface can only provide one CMIP5 member at a time. To obtain multiple members, you need to make multiple requests. You should always consider the full range of outcomes across all members in your analysis.

Please note that so far, testing has showed that daily data can take several hours to retrieve.

Variable Variable While all variables are available for the PPE-15 subset of UKCP Global (i.e. the 15 members of the perturbed parameter ensemble using the Hadley Centre’s climate model HadGEM3-GC3.05) this not the case for the CMIP5-13 subset. For RCP8.5, only precipitation and mean temperatures are available for all members of CMIP5-13. For RCP2.6, some members of CMIP5-13 do not have any future projections for all variables. EnsembleMemberSet Set (WARNING: To consider the full range of outcomes across the whole member set, you should retrieve all CMIP5 members using multiple requests) You can display all members in the global set of projections or a subselection. The subselection includes the 12 members of the global projections used as input to the 12km regional projections. At present, the User Interface can only provide one CMIP5 member at a time. To obtain multiple members, you need to make multiple requests. You should always consider the full range of outcomes across all members in your analysis. string item True
